Empowering Change Through Collaboration
Mental Health Advocacy Network of Colorado (MHANCO) strives to make a tangible impact in the mental health landscape for Coloradans. Through cooperative efforts and a unified approach, we strengthen connections within our network, enabling collaboration, resource sharing, and collective problem-solving to meet the evolving needs of mental health care in Colorado.
What We Do
The Mental Health Advocacy Network of Colorado (MHANCO) is dedicated to supporting and advocating for a broad spectrum of stakeholders within the mental health ecosystem. At its core, MHANCO champions the rights, sustainability, and professional growth of the Independent Provider Network (IPN), which includes mental health and substance use disorder (SUD) providers committed to delivering high-quality, accessible care in a fair and equitable system. Beyond providers, MHANCO centers caregivers, family members, peer support specialists, direct support professionals, and frontline staff, recognizing their vital roles in the continuum of care. We also engage small and independent mental health organizations, academic institutions focused on workforce development, advocates, allies, and individuals with lived experience—especially those from underserved and marginalized communities facing disproportionate mental health disparities. This inclusive approach ensures that every voice contributes to shaping a more just and effective mental health system.
